Our Take-A-Break-Tent was a great support for a joint team of Colorado National Guard and West Virginia National Guard CERFP Teams. By providing sports drinks, high energy protein snacks, along with smiles and encouragement, the service members were able to keep pushing forward and complete the three-day training exercise with high spirits.
The Colorado National Guard Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Enhanced Response Force Package exercise is a simulated response to a chemical agent and a mass-casualty incident.
Colorado and West Virginia are two of 17 states with a CERFP. Such units are federally resourced, trained, equipped, and sustained, but state-controlled. The unit is preparing for an external validation.
