USO Denver Hosts Annual Volunteer Family Picnic

A HOT summer day at the Colorado Freedom Memorial provided the back drop for our annual USO Volunteer Family Picnic. This event provides an opportunity to celebrate our volunteers and get to know one another on a different level away from the typical center or event settings. It’s an informal social event with lots of tasty food - hot dogs and hamburgers, and homemade sides made by volunteers who chose to bring a dish to share. We always enjoy the opportunity to get to know our volunteers and share our love for them with their families, who share them with us and the military members and families we serve regularly.

Our 200+ Volunteers are the heart and soul of USO Denver. Their dedication to our mission of strengthening America’s military service members by connecting them to the things they love most – family, home and country, from the moment they join, throughout their career and their transition back to civilian life is truly remarkable.

If you’re interested in joining our volunteer team here in Colorado or anywhere across the organization, please visit http://www.uso.org/volunteer to learn more and sign up.
